Who is Cindy Newsome?
Cindy Newsome is the Director of Enrollment Management at The Episcopal School of Dallas, joining the ESD Admissions Office over 21 years ago. Cindy is passionate about developing relationships, making connections, and establishing trust with prospective families while helping them find the right fit school for their student.
Cindy also serves as the Student Ambassador Program Director and an upper school student advisor. Cindy is active in the independent school professional community in Dallas, having recently served as the President of the Dallas Independent School Consortium (ISAAD), currently serving as ISAAD's Director of Marketing, and speaking at various Early Childhood Associations in the DFW area. She is also active at the national level, presenting at conferences such as Enrollment Management Association in addition to partnering with various educational and relocation specialists over the years.
Cindy graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Advertising from The University of Texas at Austin but somehow managed to marry an Aggie and currently has one child attending Texas A&M, and another who just graduated from there and has started his career in Commercial Real Estate back in Dallas. Cindy also attends professional development programming such as the Erdmann Institute for Enrollment Leadership, The Crow's Nest Enrollment Management Conference, and is a member of the Association of Independent School Admission Professionals (AISAP).

Attending the Private School Preview evening can be an incredibly valuable experience for parents who are considering sending their children to private schools in the Dallas area. This event is specifically designed to help parents navigate the often confusing and stressful private school application process. The keynote speaker this year, Cindy Newsome, has a wealth of knowledge and will speak generally about the process and what to expect.
One of the great benefits of attending this event is the opportunity to connect with other parents who have already gone through the process of applying to private schools. PHECA will provide parents with a contact list of members who have kids attending private schools and have volunteered to be a resource to answer questions. This can be an incredibly helpful resource for parents who are feeling overwhelmed and unsure where to start.
