Genesis Women's Shelter was created to give women in abusive situations a way out. Their mission: To provide safety, shelter, and support for women who have experienced domestic violence and to raise awareness regarding its cause, prevalence, and impact. Since Genesis opened in 1985, the Shelter has helped 1,200 women and children find a way out of abuse each year.
Genesis Women's Shelter was founded with a goal to not just help women, but to completely eradicate domestic violence. They address the issue holistically and give each women the same message: there is help and there is hope!
